The Section is responsible for coordination of police operations and other special support services in order to facilitate the maintenance of law and order.
The Section performs the following specific functions:
a) Maintain law and order in the division;
b) Enforce traffic laws and regulations;
c) Provide security services to visiting dignitaries;
d) Provide policing services during traditional ceremonies;
e) Enforce law on water bodies;
f) Provide police community services; and
g) Provide mounted services for ceremonial occasions and crowd management.
The Section is headed by a Divisional Operations Officer (Assistant Commissioner of Police) who is assisted by one (1) Deputy Divisional Operations Officer (Senior Superintendent).
